Happy New Year everyone! I was going through files today and finally found the original translation that I did for http://www.damagedsoul.net/nana/ months ago. It's from the NANA era but I thought there might be someone who'll be interested in reading it.
Q1: Have you watched the animation?
A: I have. I was impressed to hear my song as it approached the ending. I had wanted to make music for an animation for a long time. I was glad I was able to create such dreamy music for 'NANA'.
Q2: How did you OLIVIA feel representing the character Reira?
A: There's a connection between Reira and I. Coming to Japan at 16 years old, barely knowing the language and then debuting directly; I was in a place where it was difficult to make friends and then my family was so far away. It was a terribly lonely and confusing time which links me with Reira.
Q3: So the OLIVIA of today, overlaps into Reira's extremely lonely image.
A: Yes, it appears that we are very similar.
